At the beginning of 2019, the article “History and National Initiatives of Carbon Nanotube and Graphene Research in Brazil” in the Brazilian Journal of Physics 49 (2): 288–300 with the authorship of Marcos A. Pimenta, Laura A. Geracitano and Solange B. Fagan. A summary of the article was also published on the Blog about Science and Mathematics of “O Globo” under the title of Research on Carbon and Graphene Nanotubes in Brazil - A Historical Report. The following presentation summarizes the history of nanocarbon research and the history of the INCT Nanocarbono based on these two articles.
